Hindrances To Effective Prayer

 

Being in covenant with GOD means living by HIS terms.

There are many who believe GOD will respond to their prayer request on their terms. Yes, it is true that faith is required when we pray however, the believer must adhere to the terms GOD sets. Below are seven examples of why our prayers will bounce back to us unanswered.

 

• Unforgiveness - Mark 11:25

• Unbelief - Hebrews 11:6

• Doubt/lack of faith - James 1:6-8

• Laziness - James 4:2

• Wrong motives - James 4:3

• Unconfessed sin - 1 John 1:7-9; Isaiah 59:1-2

• Husband's prayer hindered for not honouring their wife - 1Peter 3.7 refs Ephesians 5.25; Colossians 3.19; 1 Corinthians 7.3

 

The chances are you may feel you have good reason to exhibit one or more of the seven examples listed, but GOD judges all on HIS terms as mentioned afore. So, don't allow yourself to be out of alignment with what the BIBLE instructs us how to be in JESUS name!
